
Sourced off our local coastline between San Diego and Santa Barbara, our local spot prawns are a true delicacy. Due to strict fishing regulations and a short fishing season, spot prawns are a rare treat!
These prawns are also known as "amaebi" or sweet shrimp in Japan where they are prized by sushi bars for their lobster like texture. These prawns are typically enjoyed raw or lightly cooked. The whole shrimp is edible, and the heads are delicious when deep fried.
